We wish to address recent communications from the NDIA and the NDIS Commission regarding actions taken against certain Plan Managers, it's crucial to us that you understand our stance on integrity and transparency in managing your NDIS plans.
Firstly, we want to reassure you that we always act with honesty and integrity and in the best interests of the participants that choose to use our service. Both Wendy and I have been in the sector for over 15 years and have always been committed to client outcomes. We have both had careers in service provision, and whilst we are passionate about quality service delivery, when we made the decision to provide Plan Management, we decided to provide one service and do it well! We condemn any unethical or criminal behaviour, such as theft, coercion, identity theft, or fraud. These actions harm participants greatly and tarnish the reputation of honest Plan Managers and undermine the sustainability of the NDIS.
Whilst we always aim to be person-centred and flexible, we understand that sometimes our stringent approach to processing and at times rejecting claims or requesting supporting evidence may sometimes seem inconvenient. However, it's a necessary step to ensure that funds are used appropriately within the guidelines and inline with the goals and outcomes of your plan. By adhering to the Guide to Plan Management and the NDIS Code of Conduct, we aim to support you in managing your funding responsibly, but also wish to highlight that the participant and their representative is responsible for determining what is reasonable and necessary for their individual personal circumstances.
We recognise concerns about overspending and subsequent reassessment requests. While we acknowledge that circumstances may change, overspending should not be used as a reason for frequent reassessments. Our goal is to assist you in utilising your allocated funds effectively to achieve your objectives.
Rest assured, we are committed to compliance and are actively working with government agencies to uphold the integrity of the NDIS. We support the efforts of the NDIA and the NDIS Commission in identifying and removing unethical Plan Managers from the system. Any suspicious behaviour should be reported through the NDIA Fraud Reporting Form.
We value your trust and partnership and appreciate the honour it is to have participants select our service. We remain dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in managing your NDIS plans. If you have any concerns or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
